About Me
Ever since high school, when I spent every night driving to my local gym to train, fitness has been an integral part of my life.
I found that working out was my way to release stress and clear my mind. I was able to let go of things quicker. I became more patient with myself and with others. I learned where my boundaries were and what it felt like to be challenged. Everything I learned about myself in the gym played a huge role in the decisions I made outside of the gym.
Fast forward through life, I graduated with my M.B.A. and went on to do all of those corporate things business school wants you to do but all the while feeling completely unfulfilled. Through changing jobs 50 times, (or what felt like it), I suddenly realized that the one thing that was constant in my life, the one thing I was completely passionate about was right under my nose. I had spent years working with and learning from trainers and fitness professionals. I spent every night reading up on the latest health studies and trends. I was soaking it all in. I had a passion for helping people, and it was time to do something about it.
I’ve since gained certifications, including:
200hr Yoga Teacher Certification (Registered with Yoga Alliance)
Mad Dog Cycle Certification
ACE Fitness Instructor Certification
Certified Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN)
Certified in Plant-Based Nutrition through Cornell
Training in Gut Health through IIN
Lululemon Ambassador
Throughout my health journey, I have come to appreciate the power of food, and that our relationships with food go much deeper, than what is on our plates. Personally, I had been loading my plate with stress, work, life changes, and other external pressures that took on the appearance of too much meat and processed foods and a lot of ignored gut symptoms. After taking health into my own hands, I put to work everything I had learned and worked slowly to address my issues by changing my outlook on my life holistically.
There is truly a strong mind-body-plate connection. Habits, lifestyle, personal beliefs all shape who we are and what we eat. I work 1-on-1 with clients to identify their own connections and how to make lasting changes through personalized health and nutrition.
I’m so excited to be able to share my stories and knowledge with woman so that they can feel empowered, connected and freed from restrictions.
