What is Health Coaching?

Ever heard of “health coach” and assumed it was just another trendy word for a trainer or had flashbacks about your health teacher in high school? Good news, it’s neither!

The Institute for Integrative Nutrition, the largest nutrition school in the country (and where I got certified), defines a health coach as “a wellness authority and supportive mentor who motivates individuals to cultivate positive health choices. Health coaches educate and support clients to achieve their health goals through lifestyle and behavior adjustments.” We are educated in nutrition and fitness and are your support system through your journey.

Health coaches are not doctors or dietitians. I do not diagnose disease nor can I cure. But you find Health Coaches in medical offices, gyms and spas as an extension of health programs. Have ever been told you need to quit sugar? Or are you someone who tries every food trend and can’t seem to make progress… enter in a health coach! As a health coach, I am here to talk about your goals, educate you, develop a plan and then hold you accountable along the way. Whether you are scared about a recent diagnosis or frustrated with your lack of progress, I am here to support.

How it Works

We meet.

It all begins with a conversation. Our first chat together is about getting to know each other. I like to learn about what is happening for in your life, how you feel, what is going well and what isn’t going so well. To me, this the most important step. It is all about deciding to make a change and if you are ready to to do the work!

We build.

Once the plan is in motion, I will be with you every step of the way. We will have regular check-ins. We will make changes to your plan based on how you are feeling and what is changing in your life. During my process you will not only begin making changes but you will understand the why, what, when, and the how of each one. Understanding these changes will enable you to create lasting results on your own for years to come.

We plan.

It’s time to talk goals. We put time, schedules, priorities, and desires all out on the table and build goals that fit into each category. Your goals will get broken down into tiny, little digestible (no pun intend) tasks that you will tackle each week. Don’t bother sharing this plan with friends, every plan is completely personalized.

We transform.

Throughout our journey you will learn how to connect what is going on in your life with how you perform at work, during your workouts and what you put on your plate. You can learn to make healthy food swaps, understand a food label, discover the fitness routine that fits you and your schedule, and learn the signs your gut gives you when it comes to self-care and stress. You will walk away with the knowledge and the tools to be your own Health Coach.

Sessions (4) –   $600

Sessions (6) - $900

Sessions  (8) –  $1,200

For 12 or more sessions, the hourly rate will decrease. Please email for more information.
